Three George I casters
Dave Frothingham submits to ASCAS members this set of three George I
casters of octagonal baluster form with applied swags and shell
decoration.
The tallest is 8 1/2" (cm. 22) in height and the other two 6 1/2"(cm.
16,5).
They are of britannia standard silver and were made in 1720 by Thomas
Bamford, a specialist castermaker apprenticed in 1703 and entering his
own mark in 1720.
